The Pagos del Rey winery in the DOC Rioja is located in the town of Fuenmayor in La Rioja Alta. It boasts a privileged situation with La Rioja Alavesa very nearby and therefore can carefully select its fruit and take into account the different ripening cycles of the red varieties Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and Mazuelo, and of the white Viura.
The above, combined with the modern and luxurious facilities comprising a barrel cellar with the capacity of storing up to 10,000 American and French oak barrels, ensures the success of the “El Círculo” and “Arnegui” wines which are exclusively distributed through the Modern Distribution and Horeca channels, respectively.
The Fuenmayor winery, whose facilities measure 30,000 square metres, of which 10,000 are constructed, is located on the right bank of the Ebro river at only 10 kilometres from Logroño and is capable of producing a maximum of 12 million litres a year.
The winery at Pagos del Rey DOC Rioja is located in one of the most prestigious towns of the most important DO in Spain and produces our main international brand. Its design is outstanding with its enormous chimneys and its steel space framed roof and the steel space frame roof.
Furthermore, the cellar used for ageing the wines is particularly spectacular, with its structure based on laminated wooden beams and its striking frieze made of fir wood.
The first harvest of this winery took place in 2006, when 5.5 million kilos of grapes were collected.
